Sound Equipment

I purchased a sound system this summer, not knowing exactly what I was getting myself into. I didn't know much about the stuff I bought either, but now after a summer packed full of gigs I've learned how to use it (somewhat) and also that it's a lot of work to do sound at an event. So far it seems that the simpler the setup the better. People commented that the sound at our last show was excellent and, I must add, we had an amazing evening at Larry Penner's with Danny's Whole Hog being a special treat. This compliment on our sound quality was a huge sigh of relief for me as I was wondering at times if I'd spent a ton of money on a sound system that wasn't even adequate for a decent sized show - now it looks like it will have paid for itself within a year or two. It's been a great summer so far and I'm looking forward to more music in the future.
