New CD project

We have been deep into practices lately as in a few days we all head to a studio in Winnipeg called Private Ear to begin a new recording project. For those of you who have been anxiously waiting for another CD, you'll have to wait just a bit longer. Putting together a full CD has meant a lot of time in the last few weeks spent together as a band rehearsing, in the hopes that it will cut down on studio time. For all of us that has been 2 evenings a week in group rehearsal, and for myself and likely many others, many hours at home on personal practice. This project is being done on a larger scale than our previous CD and we expect to be spending the majority of our next weekend and week in the studio, putting in possibly 10-12 hour days. Its been a bit crazy to do it all before Christmas, but as I am expecting a baby just into the new year, this timing has worked out rather well for myself.

All but one song on the CD are written by Rockford, and some of them have never been done in public before. His amazing song-writing talent will make this a treat to listen to! For our Bluegrass fans we've got something special as we have the incredible 'II Krahnickles' band joining us for our one song. An amazing collaboration that we are quite excited about. The hope is to be able to release the CD within a couple months, so keep checking for an upcoming release date!
